HSI's signature redundant HPU provides our customers with the most reliable system on the market. Customers have proven that HSI's Modular Hydraulic Power Unit, properly installed and maintained, can eliminate downtime.

HSI manufactures each HPU to be easily expandable and greatly adaptable. By adding take-off modules, it can supply various flows and pressures to run multiple functions at the same time. This, coupled with the extra reliability from either electric or diesel redundancy, provides all of your rig's hydraulic needs in one single, reliable package. You no longer need 2 or 3 HPUs to walk and run your entire range of rig and pipe handling functions; this one does it all.

The HSI power units have earned their reputation for rugged reliability by adhering to one simple rule: KEEP YOUR OIL COOL AND CLEAN. We do this with more than adequate filtration and with our truly innovative heat-sink technology. Even in the scorching sands of the Arabian Desert it has proven to keep the oil at 20 to 30 degrees above ambient temperature with no need for an oil cooler. The ability to provide cool, clean oil to the hydraulic components adds tremendously to their longevity and greatly reduces customer down time.

Rig Raiser™ Derrick Erection Equalization System

HSI has designed and manufactured a turnkey solution for derrick raising and lowering featuring our Level-Lift technology. This self-contained module uses a wireless remote to direct the Programmable Logic Controlled valving which provides continuously metered flow to the lift cylinders. This provides a safe, steady and solid system that will keep your next mast raising experience from becoming a "hair raising" one. As with all of HSI's products, it can easily be customized to fit your exact requirements.

Rig Runner^TM Rig Walking System

With more drilling occurring in environmentally and politically sensitive areas, the need for reliable, efficient walking rigs has never been greater. HSI's walking system is the safest, fastest and most widely used rig walking system in the world. Incorporating our Level-Lift technology, it can evenly lift 2.4 Million pounds and move it safely and smoothly at approximately 140 feet per hour. The longest single continuous walk to date is just under ¼ of a mile. Able to move your rig with a full setback 360 degrees in any direction, getting over the hole has never been easier. With a fully integrated PLC and radio remote, these user-friendly systems are successfully operating without failure on rigs throughout the world.
